Moving from Tunisia to Germany wasn't just about changing countries. It was about starting a completely new chapter of my life. I left behind my family, my friends, and everything that felt familiar because I wanted to build a better future for myself.
The hardest part wasn't arriving in Germany. It was everything that came afterward. Learning a new language, adapting to a different culture, and navigating an unfamiliar environment made me feel like I had to learn how to live all over again. What I struggled with most was not being able to express myself the way I wanted. When you can't communicate with confidence, it can feel like you've lost a part of yourself.
More than anything, I missed my family. Living far from the people you love means there are no familiar faces waiting for you at the end of the day and no one to reassure you when self-doubt begins to creep in. It's built through small, consistent steps.
Today, I am building my future in Germany through a dual vocational training program in healthcare. I'm proud of how far I've come, not because the journey was easy, but because it changed me. It taught me that perseverance, adaptability, and self-belief can take you further than you ever imagined.
